Monkeypox: Prevention of a possible outbreak in Asia

This editorial highlights the growing risk of  Monkeypox (Mpox) outbreaks in Asian countries and discusses key public health strategies to prevent widespread transmission. Drawing lessons from successful control measures implemented in the United Kingdom, China, and the United States, the authors emphasize the importance of surveillance, contact tracing, vaccination, and early disease notification systems. The article provides recommendations for strengthening preparedness and response capacities to mitigate future Mpox outbreaks in Asia.
